This event was a zoom call on Thursday, October 22. It featured 6 panelists: Alison Burns, Jimmy McClellan, Alan Peel, David Tomblin, Alexandra Marquez, and Jose Cadiz. The aim of the panel was to inform us about the importance of voting, and clear any misconceptions that we may have.
As a new voter this was a really great opportunity to become more well informed. I was directed to a really great guide to voting at https://www.ballotready.org/ that helped me set up when I was going to vote. I think that teaching us about the importance of voting was a really great lesson that a lot of young voters should hear. I think that this could be a presentation that is adapted for viewing by a larger audience.
